Why the maths stays the same

Every even-money bet on a European wheel still loses on zero. Doubling after a loss increases the amount you can lose on the next spin. It does not change the probability of red or black.

If you enjoy a system, cap the number of steps and the total loss. When either cap is hit, leave the table. That is bankroll management, not a winning formula.
