How to play online poker

A first session

Texas hold’em is the usual starting point. You receive two cards, then five community cards appear in stages. You can fold, call or raise at each stage. The best five-card hand using any mix of your cards and the board wins the pot.

Use the play-money or lowest-stake table until the buttons feel automatic. Protect your account with a unique password. Poker still needs a loss limit. The other players are trying to win your chips.
