10 things to know before playing roulette

House edge, table limits and bet types matter more than the colour of the wheel.

Start with the wheel, not the bonus

European roulette uses a single zero and a house edge of 2.70%. American roulette adds a double zero and lifts that edge to 5.26%. If a ForaGambling listing offers both, the European wheel is the clearer choice for a casual session.

Inside bets pay more and hit less often. Outside bets such as red, black, odd, even, and dozens pay less and last longer. Neither style changes the house edge on a standard wheel.

Ten checks before you sit down

Confirm the wheel type, the minimum and maximum stake, and whether the table is RNG or live. Check how quickly rounds start, whether you can set a loss limit inside the casino, and how bonus funds treat roulette. Many welcome offers exclude table games or count them at a low rate.

Set a cash limit and a time limit before the first spin. A run of one colour is not a signal. Each spin is independent. If the session stops being entertainment, close the table.
